2C's KWL Chart

Dear Parents,

In preparation for Discovery Learning Day, we created a KWL chart. The chart is made up of three sections, what we Know about bees, what we Wonder about bees and what we Learned about bees.

We filled out what we know about bees and what we wonder about bees first. The students then worked in partners to look at books about bees and write down new facts that they had learned on post-it notes.

When the students were asked to share their facts, many had numerous facts and even pictures from the books that they wanted to share.

We then added the post it notes to our KWL chart. Today the students shared what they had learned on Discovery Learning Day and we added it to our KWL chart. The students had so much to say that we had to add another piece of poster board to our chart!

The students were so proud of their work and all that they have learned.
