2C Learned All About Christopher Columbus

In honor of Columbus Day we learned all about Christopher Columbus. We read books written from the perspectives of Christopher Columbus, the sailors, and the Native Americans. After reading each book the students wrote down something that they learned about Columbus, the sailors or the Native Americans on sticky notes.

To learn more about varying perspectives, we read Cinderella is so Annoying, the Cinderella story written from the perspective of the step mother. We learned that there can be two sides to a story.

The students then wrote letters from the perspective of Columbus, the sailors, or the Native Americans.

Attached is a compilation of the sticky notes that the students wrote after listening to each book. We learned so much about Columbus and his voyage to America and want to share all that we have learned with you!

Have a wonderful night,

Morah Tamar
