Dear Parents,
Kitah Bet is off to a great start!
The children are learning how to welcome their friends using gender-specific and singular and plural tenses:
For one boy: Baruch haba
For one girl: Brucha habaah
For two or more boys: Bruchim habaim
For two or more girl: Bruchot habaot
To begin the unit, we played a game where a boy or girl or a group of boys or girls knocked on the door and Morah Tali welcomed the child or group using the correct tense. We sang a song welcoming our friends and using the different tenses. The boys sang the part for boys, and the girls sang the part for girls. Everyone had fun singing and moving to the music! Ask your child to sing the song for you tonight!
We played a fun game where each child or group of children had the opportunity to to circle the correct phrase for their gender.
We were also very excited to start using our Ariot workbooks!
Later, Morah Tali read a fun story, incorporating puppets, that reinforced what the children had learned.
Layla Tov!
