2C's Discovery Learning Day

Dear Parents,

After learning so much about bees in the class room and talking about Discovery Learning Day, it finally came!

The  students  learned how different flowers attract bees,  and pollinate flowers and crops. The students became experts in the anatomy of  bees and learned terms such as proboscis and pollen sacs.The students were scholars and learned about the story of Shlomo Hamelech and the bee.

Morah Jean taught the students the bee dance that is used to communicate to bees the location of flowers.

To top it off the students met two bee keepers and had an opportunity to taste test different types of honey!

 

The students really enjoyed learning about bees and participating in all of the  activities.
